Donor Privacy

Power for Parkinson’s (PFP) values the privacy of donors. As a result, unless otherwise provided by law or in this policy, PFP will not sell, share or trade PFP donors’ names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to PFP donors on behalf of other persons, entities or organizations.

This policy applies to all donor information received by PFP, both online and offline, on any platform (including, but not limited to PFP website and mobile applications), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications.

To the extent any donations to PFP are processed through a third-party service provider (such as Donor Perfect), PFP’s donor information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.

Exceptions

Unless the donor requests anonymity, PFP may include a donor’s name (but not other donor information) in on-line or printed materials acknowledging donors.

PFP may disclose donor information if required by law, such as in the Internal Revenue Service Form 990, or in response to a lawfully issued subpoena.
